Bloxels 2.0 just released in late May with so many new and wonderful features. Our designers in our virtual summer school course shared the many ways that Bloxels can unleash creativity. Some designers connected Bloxels to STEM Stories in our other course. Click on the Seesaw activity to access the lesson that Amy Otis and I created together. Our district is running three sessions of virtual summer school (June, July, August). Each session runs for 3 weeks with a different teacher and topic each week. Amy Otis @MrsOtisA and I decided to co-teach a bundle focused around Makers. Our sessions are Bloxels, Makers Empire, and STEM stories. The bundle was well received with a large wait list. Preparing for the course made me realize the challenges of virtual instruction. Amy and I spent over 15 hours talking through the progression, creating activities and videos in Seesaw, and thinking through the needs of our learners. The following are the Seesaw activities that we created for our K-5 group. On Day 3 and 5, we did a Google Meet with designers to share their designs and challenges.
