Today my first group of second grade students started using Makers Empire. With the Mission Control, students can pick different challenges as well as I can provide students with different focused challenges.
The login process is smooth since all I needed to do was create a class with the teacher's name.
Makers Empire has rolled out a whole new interface with different types of challenges and tutorials that I can't wait to share with our students and teachers. I've been waiting all summer to share the new design and see how students respond.
While looking at tweets, I ran across an idea that inspired me. It was a post about 3D printing and using tulle to create jewelry. It started to make me think about designing bracelets integrating 3D printing and ribbon.
Students in Ms. Fortney's class are creating their paper slide videos and sharing them on Flipgrid as they learn about the history of the country they live in as well as the history of Australia from their partner class in Australia. Next week students will be creating 3D artifacts that represent their important event and sharing them.
