This summer I learned about many educational partnerships that Discovery Education works with to bring more learning opportunities to all of our children. As a Discovery Education Network Partner Champion, I get the pleasure of helping make this happen. One of the partnerships that immediately intrigued me is the Home Depot partnership to bring making to all learners.

| Every first Saturday of the month, Home Depot offers a workshop for children and parents to make together. This month it was the Penske truck. Each month participants receive a free project, a certificate of achievement, an apron, and a badge to add to their apron. The sounds of pounding hammers as families create together is magical. What a wonderful opportunity for families to make together! | |
