Learning from mistakes was the theme of my spring break 3D printing marathon. Over spring break, I started to print Ms. Zorr's student candle holders. After several days and 4-5 hour prints, I realized that I needed to step back and try again. I noticed that student designs were not taking into account the measurement of the LED candle even though it was repeated over and over again. So today I tried a reboot and realized that I will need to be even more specific about the failures in the prints. | |
1. All holes will need to be a diameter of 42-45mm. What will this look like in a heart shape? How can you ensure that it is this diameter?
2. Walls cannot be super thin.
3. Holes in the walls need to be small and not near each other. Which holes will not work?
4. The design cannot have floating shapes.
