This week our second graders started designing the level of their game for their community helper. What would be the item that is collected in that workplace? Who could be the enemy? What kinds of information should you share about your community helper? | |
The design possibilities of Bloxels EDU far exceeds the original Bloxels in the depth of design with the color wheel of gradients to a color and background design. The closed classroom design area provides a safer design environment and requires Bloxels to be used to design and not just play. The updates of 4 different games in 4 subject areas gives student designers a context and builds an understanding of how the Bloxels EDU format works.

With the Bloxels EDU hub, I can create classrooms and monitor what students are creating without having to go on each individual device. With Bloxels EDU, my students create in an environment where they can share their designs to a classroom library as well as earn badges for different design challenges.
Students in Ms. Fortney's class are creating their paper slide videos and sharing them on Flipgrid as they learn about the history of the country they live in as well as the history of Australia from their partner class in Australia. Next week students will be creating 3D artifacts that represent their important event and sharing them.
