Each week students in grades 2 and 3 have the opportunity to choose SP Innovation Lab during their first recess for four days straight to pursue any area of interest and creation. Sometimes students choose 3D printing, Minecraft, or robotics but since the arrival of Bloxels, there has been a large group of students designing their own video games by creating backgrounds, animations, and characters. This week we had to expand to another table for all of the group.
Students are bringing Bloxels into the classroom as part of their passion projects and teaching others about a specific topic. Next week another grade level team will be bringing student fairytales to life using Bloxels. I can't wait to share what our students are doing. Our student designers will be at the Madison Mini Maker Faire in May sharing their Bloxel projects.
The best part of Bloxels is how quickly they respond to our questions through twitter. Excellent product and company!
