Today our last group of kinders shared their bubble wands and tested them in the end of the year celebration.
Observing our designers last week, I could see how many of the designers were using lessons that they had learned in the training lab and were creating vertical tower wands.
In a previous lesson, I had disregarded the need to transition from vertical to horizontal and instead focused on creating horizontal flat wands. This was very difficult for many of the designers who immediately adopted the feeling of not being able to do it.
With this group of designers, designing first in vertical and then transitioning to a horizontal so that they could learn to design in both directions was very successful.

This is one of the greatest gifts I have received from one of Ms. Chartier's first graders.
The ultimate design test.... blowing the bubbles through your uniquely created bubble wand!
