This happened to me on Friday evening. As I looked at the Teacher Dashboard I marveled at the amount of designs that students already had after only 40 minutes of design time.
My Reflections from the Teacher Dashboard
After digging a little deeper, I quickly started to question what was happening.
1. Many of the designs were autosaves and were incomplete stuff.
2. A lot of time was spent on the Maker Avatar.
3. The character module seems to be a little too much for older students who desire to use it inappropriately.
4. There was a high incompletion rate for the first lesson choices.

Next Teaching Steps
In Day 3, I will be sharing the stats with students to develop a better understanding of the difference in completion. In order to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the software, I need to understand the challenges that my students are encountering.
With the next group of students during Day 2, I will be using the Challenge of the Bubble Wand instead of just the tutorial video. I think this support will help those students who need more direct instruction before being able to free design. I also will be completing the challenges to have a 3D printed example for students to see prior to designing.
