I started with about 10 activites and had to remove about 3 within the first ten minutes.

Osmo Coding was a huge success and with the easy reset all levels feature, I was able to quickly reset it for each new group.
My Presentation
What I Learned
- The posters really helped students to self direct and learn about the activity through the QR code.
- Pairing up higher grade levels with younger grade levels created an awesome dynamic of the older student helping guide their partner as well as creating an environment of cooperation. Coding is not a solitary activity and sometimes when everyone is doing Hour of Code, we forget that an essential part of problem solving is working with others to figure out new challenges.
- Having too many choices can cause problems especially when the stations don't function easily. Sphero painting is a disaster especially if your Sphero has a life span of 10 minutes after being fully charged. Paint on your hands when you need to help other students is not productive.
- The MeeperBots also had their debut but quickly had to be pulled as they were not coding them but rather shooting them across the room in drive mode. They will have to come out at a later date when I have more time to support the coding part of their features.
- Setup requires a good 30 minutes but is really worth it. Our high school volunteers really helped with the switch over and guiding our students through different choices.
