Monday - Lectrify
I was fortunate enough to write a Donor's Choose for 20 classroom Bit:Explorers that helped push me to apply what I was learning with Hummingbird and Micro:Bit into another similar technology. I've included my playlist of Bit:Explorer because my designers have loved working with the device which we used for Talking Objects and Mini-Golf instead of the Hummingbird.
Anyways, I was lucky enough to get another Donor's Choose funded and Diego had reached out to talk with me about what my projects and plans were to ensure that I was purchasing the correct items for my designers to learn and grow. Spending an hour on Google Meet, Diego shared some of his process as well as insights into different ideas that I could use with my designers.
During the conversation, I mentioned that we had struggled with the reset button. Two days later, Diego sent me an .stl file to solve the issue. This is what I mean by having the opportunity to learn from powerful designers who are invested in the learning community. |

Nezha - Inventor's Kit for Micro:Bit
With the funding of our Donor's Choose project, our designers will now have access to 6 Nezha Inventor's kits for Micro:Bit. The first project was a true test of my ability to follow visual and written directions. While doing this project, I realized what a powerful learning experience it could be for teams. Not only will it test my designer's abilities to collaborate, but also use both written and video directions to understand how they learn best.

Pathfinders: Finch and Python
Saturday I started my learning journey with Birdbrain, Pathfinders, and the Finch robot. I was selected to participate and attended the launch zoom to get started learning about Python and the Finch robot. |
